The fact that Jennette was not invoiced until the end of the term was a clerical error – the result of a misunderstanding at the administrative level at City Hall. And as you rightly state, we are all only human. Your concern over the use of public money for taxi expenses would be better directed towards members of your own party – Boris Johnson, for example. How do you justify Boris claiming £237.50 for a taxi trip to Edmonton from his home in Highbury? Is Boris intending to pay that back, or are you happy for the taxpayer to foot the bill?
