As Muslims in particular we should remember God has made humans guardians of Creation (e.g. Quran 10:14; 6:165), however: "Disasters have spread throughout the land and sea, because of what the people have committed. God thus lets them taste the consequences of some of their works, THAT THEY MAY RETURN (to the right path)." (Quran 30:41, my emphasis) ... better change our ways now (out of love for God - ruining Creation shows arrogance), than have difficult time on Day of Judgment. Good thing is, as humans with free will we have personal responsibility and accountability - no need to be depressed about what others are (not) doing, all we have to do is what we can do (as individual). I wouldnt worry too much about the opportunistic right which is now showing denial or scepticism (they use one or both, as it suits them) now when there is larger funds on the anti-lobby. Immediately after the summit, which is certainly going to open the bags of new funds on the green movement, you will see the same denialists/sceptics trying to greenwash everything. I think it is too early to ask for aviation emission cuts, before UK and US made bigger strides to connect to the continent. Emission cut then will be a result, but not a mean. All the best. Immediately after the summit, which is certainly going to open the bags of new funds on the green movement, you will see the same denialists/sceptics trying to greenwash everything.
